AJ LEE & BLUE SUMMIT
AJ Lee & Blue Summit are an exciting new group on the Americana scene. The band members all cut their teeth at an early age, making a name for themselves at festivals and in various groups for the past ten years or more. They formed Blue Summit in 2016 and have since been exploding across the west and beyond. They - like many young and upcoming bands - seem to defy categorization. They get labelled bluegrass, but they are so much more. Their energy and talent bring the stage to life, and it’s hard to sit still when they start playing.
They’ve played at our own local Parkfield Bluegrass Festival, and have been selected as an official showcase band for the venerable IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association). Lead vocalist and mandolin player AJ Lee has been selected ‘Female vocalist of the year’ nine times by the Northern California Bluegrass Association!
