SLOfolks is an all-volunteer non-profit organization
dedicated to bringing live acoustic, traditional music to the Central Coast since 1985.
SLOfolks Board of Directors:
David Arndt - President.
Marianne Orme - Vice President.
Charlie Kleemann - Treasurer.
Lorraine Conlen - Secretary.
Jeanie McDill - (Board member from the very beginning) creates our SLOfolks posters.
Additional Key Volunteers:
Bob Conlen manages our Coalesce concerts: He is emcee and coordinates sound and CD sales at Coalesce.
Tracey Clopper coordinates host-housing for our visiting musicians, and distributes posters in Cambria, Cayucos and Morro Bay.
Janelle Younger is on our Booking Committee.
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS:
We thank our SLOfolks supporters who help us host our musicians:
Ollie & Dennis Palm, Stanley & Carol Stearn, Chuck & Penny Hoffman, Jim & Linda Davis, Richard Carriker, Marc Johnston, Kara Hagedorn & Yarrow Nelson, Rich & Chris Klingman, Mark & Teri Elliot: all have generously volunteered to open their homes to host our musicians.
Their hospitality is much appreciated by our musicians and by SLOfolks.
If you are interested in hosting SLOfolks musicians please send a message through the contact form. We try to spread out hosting, so everyone on our list has an opportunity without overtaxing their generosity.
ALL our great volunteers:
As mentioned elsewhere, it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to put on SLOfolks shows. We greatly appreciate everyone who chips in, no matter how little. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
We are always happy to have new volunteers join us. It takes many hands. We are currently looking for someone to distribute posters in the North County (Atascadero, Templeton, and Paso Robles). If you’d like to join our team of wonderful volunteers in ANY capacity, please send a message through our Contact form.
